About a month later, he reported on Reddit that the game had sold 1252 units in the first 3 weeks.
From that…
I got a total [revenue] of $18,766.54
But after chargebacks, taxes, revenue share, exchange rate, etc…
the actual net revenue will probably be something like 9814€
Works out to about $10,214.
Drazglb says it was his first Steam game, but looks like the game was available in other formats since 2020.
As for marketing…
I did most of the job sharing stuff on Twitter, a bit on some Discord servers, and more recently here on Reddit since a few weeks before launch…
I also launched a successful Kickstarter campaign in November 2020, which helped a lot at the time.
€23,178 raised from that Kickstarter.
Goes to show that it’s possible to earn good money as an indie game developer.
