By 2021, the site had 12,000 members and 2,900 hosts across North America 
Then Harvest Hosts – a competitor flush with $37M in funding – came knocking, resulting in a mid-7-figure sale. 85% cash upfront 
This was essentially a niche paid directory, members happy to pay for info that wasn’t easily Googleable.
