She Opened Ohio’s First Flower Vending Machine

Riken Maharjan

Picture a refrigerated, glass-fronted vending machine in a busy public market. Inside: designer bouquets, $48 to $80+ 🌸

Tap the screen, swipe your card, grab the flowers. Last-minute anniversary saved 👀

That’s The Bloom-Box, which florist Jami Moretti opened at North Market Bridge Park in Dublin, Ohio – billed as Ohio’s first.

Jami’s pitch 👇

We wanted to make giving flowers as easy as buying a coffee. The Bloom Box lets customers purchase fresh, designer-quality bouquets with just a tap.

This is already common elsewhere. Japan has flower vending machines all over the place 🇯🇵, and the US has a fraction of that – mostly clustered at major airports and malls.

Most cities and towns are wide open.

A refrigerated touchscreen unit runs $8K-$15K.

Manufacturer claims of $3-10K monthly revenue per machine probably need a haircut (those numbers come from people selling the machines), but the model’s proven 💐

Pair with a local florist and pitch the first machine for your town’s busiest spot 🚀
