  • $30,062 revenue in one year

📝 An anonymous seller posts their shop dashboard after twelve months…

A year ago my brother suggested that I try ETSY to sell my 3d printed parts for vintage trucks.

Surprisingly it’s gained some decent traction, and I have been averaging about 10 sales a week.

683 orders, $30,062 revenue 🤑

They print the interior parts that hold screens and gauges in old truck dashboards.

Then they found the upsell…

I sell just my 3d printed part for $25, all said and done I make about $20 on each of those.

Recently the fully built units with the 3d printed part, electronics, and wiring adapter have been selling pretty well. I sell each unit for $150 and end up at about $60-$65 profit on each one of those

Add the screen and wiring, and the profit triples.

Another $1000 a month, more sporadically, comes from eBay.

They haven’t run a single ad all year, just post in specific Facebook groups.

They bought the printer to teach the kids a skill, picked up CAD on YouTube, then went looking for problems to solve.

An enclosed printer that handles heat-proof plastic starts around $400.

Pick an old machine people love, join the Facebook group where its owners complain, and print what they keep asking for 😎
